Geometry

Axon sites (count)

What is this?

How many axon "sites" are rendered inside the fascicle. These are visual points (not a biophysical axon model). More sites = denser firing + heavier CPU.

Nerve diameter is fixed at 2.0 mm. Single fascicle (simplified). Axons are non-overlapping grid sites (visual exaggeration).

Stimulation

Stim amplitude (a.u.)

What is this?

A proxy "current amplitude" used to compute a simple exponential field around each intrafascicular electrode. Higher = more axons cross threshold.

Field falloff

What is this?

Sets how quickly the proxy field decays with distance. Larger values spread stimulation farther; smaller values make it more localized.

Threshold (proxy)

What is this?

Proxy activation threshold. During a pulse, axons with |field| ≥ threshold are forced "on" for a short dwell time.

Frequency (Hz)

What is this?

Frequency of the sine-wave stimulation during the train.

Train duration (ms)

What is this?

How long the sine-wave stimulation train runs when you click Pulse. Axons above the proxy threshold will be forced to fire during the train.

Simplified model. Axon firing uses randomized per-axon timing with a minimum 200 ms refractory interval. Recording is distance-weighted spikes per intrafascicular electrode (up to 10 graphs, auto-generated).
